I think we all have heard about Pompeii, the ancient Roman town that was buried by the violent eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD. Arriving from Naples there’s a train that mostly passes on the coastal area of the Sorrento peninsula. There’s a tiny station right in front of the entrance of the archeological park. It's a weird feeling to enter the park; while the houses are mostly ruined, the streets seem to be like in the ancient times. Colons standing proud, reaching the burning mediterranean sun, without nothing to hold. One can still see the frescoes on the walls, and some of the floor mosaics are really well preserved. There’s even an amphitheater and the Grand theater, where one can still take a seat and imagine the Roman games. - Mirva Scivola

IN ADDITION TO THIS KIT, YOU WILL NEED THE FOLLOWING MATERIALS

  • Circular needles of 2.5 mm (US 1.5) and 2.25 mm (US 1) - cable length of 80 cm (32 in) or size needed to obtain gauge or DPN or your favorite needles to work small circumferences - or size required to obtain the gauge.
  • DPNs of 2.5 mm (US 1.5) for toes - or size required to obtain the gauge.
  • Stitch markers
  • Tapestry needle

SIZES - ADULT S (M, L) XL

Finished circumference of leg measurements: 17 (19, 21) 22.5 cm / 6.75 (7.5, 8.25) 8.75”

Foot of length is adjustable.

GAUGE

  • 32 sts x 48 rnds = 10 cm / 4 in. in St st after blocking.
  • 37 sts & 37 rounds = 10 cm / 4 in. in Stranded colorwork after blocking.

NOTE

A stretchy cast on like the Old Norwegian CO is recommended. Kitchener st is used for the toe. The instructions are written for the Magic Loop method.
