We know well the iconic tricolour sock that represents the strength and courage of our loggers. I wanted to create an adaptation to highlight the Canadienne’s quiet strength. We don’t know what fibre it’s made of, but it’s knit tightly. If it sometimes breaks, it always rises again. A tribute to the Canadienne. - Rose-Marie St-Pierre

THIS KNITTING KIT INCLUDES
- The La Belle Canadienne Socks knitting pattern (sent as a digital pdf format) - The pattern is included when you purchase a kit.

BISCOTTE YARNS - BIS-SOCK [85% merino wool sw, 15% nylon; 400 m per 100 g] -
- A - 1 SKEIN - Gris-Gris
- B - 25G - Nature
- C - 25G - Phenix

LOUISE ROBERT COLLECTION - KID SILK [75% kid mohair, 25% silk; 210 m per 25 g] - 1 SKEIN - shown in
- D - Metal for option A and Canevas for option B.
The original design was made using several types of fiber. To keep the kit affordable and include only the amount of yarn needed, we chose to make it using Bis-Sock and Kid-Silk only.
- (OPTION A ONLY) Czech Seed Beads 6/0 (4mm) 10g - Clear
IN ADDITION TO THIS KIT, YOU WILL NEED THE FOLLOWING MATERIALS
- DPNs of 2.5 mm (US 1.5) - or size required to obtain the gauge.
- Tapestry needle
SIZES - S (M, L, XL)
- Small (56 stitches): circumference 17.5 cm
- Medium (60 stitches): circumference 18 cm
- Large (64 stitches): circumference 20 cm
- Extra Large (68 stitches): circumference 21 cm
Please note that the 3/1 ribbing will create positive ease, resulting in a larger circumference.
Foot of length is adjustable.
GAUGE

Yarns A, B and C: knit flat in stockinette with 2.5 mm needles
- 32 stitches × 40 rows = 10 cm, before blocking

Yarn D: knit flat in stockinette with 2.5 mm needles
- 27 stitches × 28 rows = 10 cm, before blocking
