Option: KNITTING PATTERN ONLY

Here is the latest design of Louise Robert, the Itera Sweater! This sweater is knitted top-down and begins with back-and-forth rows to shape the neckline.

I designed this sweater to celebrate the beautiful Itera, a yarn of incredible softness made from 100% recycled cashmere.
In Latin and Romance languages, “Itera” most often means “to repeat” or “to renew”— a perfect name to represent the cashmere fiber that is renewed and recycled into yarn, just like the lace pattern that repeats across the front of the sweater. - Louise Robert

You have the option to purchase the pattern only or the knitting kit, which contains both the yarn and the pattern needed to knit this project!

THIS KNITTING KIT INCLUDES

  • The Itera Sweater knitting pattern (sent as a digital pdf format) - The pattern is included when you purchase a kit.
  • BISCOTTE YARNS - ITERA [100% recycled cashmere, 175 meters per 50 g] - 5 (5, 6, 7, 8) (9, 10, 12, 12) BALLS; or 753 (875, 1012, 1,155, 1,306) (1,526, 1,708, 1,932, 2,079) meters - shown in color BIS001 for the purple version and BIS026 for the blue one.

IN ADDITION TO THIS KIT, YOU WILL NEED THE FOLLOWING MATERIAL

  • Main Knitting: Circular needles of 4 mm (US 6) - cable length of at least 100 cm (40”) and preferred needles for small circumference knitting - or the size required to obtain the gauge.

GAUGE

21 stitches x 30 rows = 10 cm (4") in stockinette stitch in the round with the largest needles, before blocking.

NOTE

This sweater is knitted top-down and begins with back-and-forth rows to shape the neckline. Once the desired neckline depth is reached, the rest is knitted in the round.
Be sure to read the instructions carefully through the end of each section, as you will need to increase simultaneously on the front neckline, body, and sleeves. Stitches are picked up at the end to knit the collar.

Each section (the back, the front, and the sleeves) is marked by two stitch markers, numbered 1 through 8.

You can adjust the length of the body and sleeves as needed, keeping in mind that you’ll also need to adjust the amount of yarn required to complete the sweater.

ENJOY! ♥
