Pixelite Mittens - Knitting pattern and Optional Kit

THIS KNITTING KIT INCLUDES

IN ADDITION TO THIS KNITTING KIT, YOU WILL NEED THE FOLLOWING MATERIALS

• DPN or Circular needle of 4 mm (US 6) and 3.5 mm (US 4) for ribbing - or size needed to obtain gauge.
• Stitch markers
• Stitch Holder or waste yarn
• Tapestry needle

SIZE ADULT - ONE SIZE

• Hand circumference: 20 cm (about 8”)
• Length (from palm to fingertips): 18 cm (about 7”)

GAUGE

24 stitches = 10 cm; 4" in stranded colorwork after blocking.

NOTE

These mittens are worked from the cuff to the fingertips. After completing the ribbing, stitches are increased to create a gusset and prepare for the thumb opening.

The stranded colorwork pattern is worked by alternating two colors on every row. There’s no need to cut the yarn when changing colors: simply carry the yarn along the inside of the mitten.

To make the charts easier to read, I’ve included versions in the original colors and in grayscale, so you won’t be confused if you knit this pattern in different shades.
