Atlantico Headbang | Crochet Yarn Kit

Introducing the Atlantico Headbang crochet pattern by Marie-Sol Gauvreau.

This design is inspired by my time by the sea and timeless vintage crochet that I keep seeing everywhere in Portugal. It features my Blossom Crochet Motif, a flower design I’ve been using in many of my creations over the years. It has always been one of my favorite motifs, so I wanted to give it a fresh new purpose by turning it into a lightweight, lacy headband that’s perfect for summer. With its delicate floral details and timeless look, the Blossom Headband is a fun and easy project to make. SIZE

Each flower square measures approximately 6.5 cm x 6.5 cm when completed. The headband is constructed by joining motifs together side by side, so the final length is
fully adjustable depending on your preference and fit. For reference, I personally joined 17 squares to create my headband. However, you can easily add or remove squares to customize the length. The flexible construction makes it easy to adapt the design to any head size or styling preference.

If you wish to adjust the size of the design, you can do so by changing the yarn weight
and hook size. Using a thinner yarn and smaller hook will result in a smaller, more delicate motif, while using a thicker yarn and larger hook will create a larger, more robust design. Keep in mind that adjusting the size may alter the overall appearance and texture of the motif, so it's a good idea to make a sample swatch to ensure you achieve the desired effect.

GAUGE

Gauge is not critical for this project, as the headband is made by joining motifs together
and can easily be adjusted in length. However, for reference, each Flower square should
measure approximately 6.5 cm x 6.5 cm when using sport weight yarn with A 3.0mm hook size. If your flower square is significantly larger or smaller, you may want to adjust your hook size to better match the intended dimensions and ensure consistent sizing throughout your project.
