Return policy

When you complete your order, after having read and accepted our terms and conditions, you may wish to return certain items ordered.  These returns will be accepted under certain conditions:

  • Within 5 working days of receiving your order, you must contact us in writing using this contact form, or by telephone at 450-653-9099 # 1.   

  • Returned products must be in their original condition and be shipped within 5 working days of our confirmation;

  • Wound yarns are not returnable;

  • Accessories such as needles, crochet hooks and books are not returnable.

  • Products purchased on special offer, liquidation or mill ends yarns (Josie's bags) are not returnable;

  • On receipt of the return, a credit will be issued excluding shipping costs and will applicable on your next purchases.

  • If you have purchased a commercial product (yarn, accessories or books) within the 21 calendar days preceding a special promotion, Biscotte Yarns will credit the value of the discounted amount on your purchase (this policy excludes hand-dyed yarns).

  • In the case of a defective product, an exchange will be sent for an equivalent product, or if unavailable, a credit will be issued and applied to your next purchases. If the defective product is returned, we will assume the cost of return delivery and product replacement.

Please keep in mind the following information:

Due to the handmade nature of our yarn, each skein of hand-dyed yarn may not be exactly the same, even if they are from the same dye lot.

For a smooth color transition when starting a new skein, especially with semi-solid and variegated colors, we recommend alternating the rows of the ending skein with the new one.

The self-striping colors look best in small circumference knitwear such as socks, mittens, hats and scarves. If the result is not as expected, consider adjusting the number of stitches or needle size for your project.

Most of the time, we take pictures of the yarn in daylight to show the colors closest to reality.
However, because of the difference between the pixels of monitors and their adjustments, it is possible that you observe a slight difference between the actual color and the picture displayed.

Superwash (also identified as SW) processing means that the wool has been chemically treated to prevent felting so you can wash your garments in the washing machine. However, to preserve your garment and color as long as possible, we recommend washing it in cold water and drying it flat.

Although the yarn is pre-washed, it is possible to observe a slight dye bleeding on the first wash: this is only the excess dye that goes away and will not affect the garment color. If you have any concerns, please feel free to contact us for assistance.

Our policy lasts 60 days. If 60 days have passed since your purchase, unfortunately, we can’t offer you an exchange.

Please note that yarns are non-refundable.

If you have any concerns with your Biscotte yarn, do not hesitate to send us an email at info@biscotte.org 

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.

If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
