Our Hi-Lo Spindles offer the best of both whorls for drop spindles: a brass hook at the top for high-whorl spinning and a grooved shaft for low-whorl spinning. Two sizes offer a broad spectrum of spinning capabilities: 3" (1.8 oz), and 4" (2.7 oz). The spindles are made of hard maple.
As I assembled the wheel I noticed there was a missing bolt which was supplied quite quickly by the company. I'm also having some issues with the treadle bar slipping out of the bearings. I have addressed this with the company and while they have been responsive it is frustrating that I can't use my new wheel!
