Nouvelle Twist Shawl - Knitting Pattern and Optional Kit

Here is a pattern of Jill from Knit Sisu, the Nouvelle Twist Shawl! This asymmetric triangular shawl has an easy-to-remember garter stitch and cable pattern which creates a soft drape of wool and silk.

This beautiful pattern was originally knit with our Albus yarns but is now available in our Merino Worsted.

You have the option to purchase the pattern only or the knitting kit, which contains both the yarn and the pattern needed to knit this project!

THIS KNITTING KIT INCLUDES

• The Nouvelle Twist Shawl knitting pattern (sent as a digital pdf format) - The pattern is included when you purchase a kit.

• BISCOTTE YARNS - ALBUS [50% merino wool, 50% silk; 150 m per 100g] - 4 SKEINS - shown in Aigue Marine

** Albus yarn is no longer available, but it can be substituted with:

• MERINO WORSTED [100% Merino wool sw; 200 m per 100g] - 3 SKEINS - shown in Gauguin
• HAGRID [85% merino wool sw, 15% nylon; 165 m per 100g] - 4 SKEINS

YOU WILL ALSO NEED

• Circular needles of 5 mm (US 8) - cable lenght of at least 80cm (32”) and preferred needles for small circumference knitting - or size required to obtain the gauge.
• Cable needle
• Tapestry needle
  

SIZE - ONE SIZE

• Width: 135 cm (53”) along the diagonal increase edge, 81cm (32”) along BO edge.
• Length: 112 cm (44”) along the remaining side edge.

GAUGE

9 sts and 4 rows = 5 cm (2”). worked over garter stitch, after gentle blocking.
