Biscotte Yarns is pleased to present the Finish Line sock pattern. This pattern is an original design by Louise Robert for the Mystery Sock Club of January 2021.
"The year 2020 was a tough one that we were all waiting to put behind! Finally, we crossed the finish line of a brand new year filled with hope: 2021! I feel like celebrating this new year with confetti and pennant banners!
I also have a thought for those we lost in 2020, like the very talented designer I always admired: Cat Bordhi. That's why I wrote this model with a very special heel to pay tribute to her: the "Sweet Tomato Heel", a unique way to knit heels imagined and designed by Cat Bordhi in her book Cat’s Sweet Tomato Heel Sock." - Louise
In addition to the pattern, you will need the following materials to knit the Bas Finish Line:
- FLAMEL (A) – 100g, shown in the color Aigue Marine
- BIS-SOCK VARIEGATED (B) – 25g, illustrated in an exclusive color
- Circular or double-pointed needles of 2.5 mm (or size needed to obtain gauge)
- Tapestry needle
YOU CAN GET THE FINISH LINE KIT HERE! ♥
GAUGE : 32m = 10 cm en jersey
SIZES : Adult Small/Medium (Large/X-Large)
- Circumference unstretched : 19 cm; 7.5 in (22.5 cm; 9 in)
- Foot length : adjustable
NOTES : This sock is worked by alternating the CONFETTI stitch pattern and the PENNANT BANNERS stitch pattern. Be careful with the CONFETTI pattern: when slipping the stitches, avoid pulling on the yarn that runs behind them. Try to release the tension a little to enhance the elasticity of this stitch pattern.
If you hesitate between two sizes and you are a compulsive tight knitter 😜, choose the larger size since the CONFETTI section may be a little less elastic than the rest of the sock.
To help you in the realization of this heel, I have prepared some illustrations for you but please, note that the visuals have not been designed to represent the exact number of stitches, so avoid counting the number of sts on the images, it won't be representative of what you have on your needles. 😉
This pattern is offered as a PDF document. You must add the pattern to your cart, follow the steps to check out & a link to download the pattern will be emailed to you ♥
