Superb yarn, hand dyed by a women's cooperative in Uruguay. Manos Del Uruguay is a non-profit company that, since 1968, has been dedicated to helping women in Uruguay's rural areas in order to eradicate poverty.
Their yarns are hand-painted by more than 250 dyeing artisans in 19 sectors of the country. The story of Manos Del Uruguay is as beautiful as their yarns. Now you can discover the quality of MARINA, a "lace" thread from Manos Del Uruguay that is the perfect yarn to knit a wonderful shawl!
Each skein is made of 100% superwash merino wool and contains 100 grams, 800 metres (874 yards) of yarn. Suggested sample: 32-34 stitches = 10 cm on needles of 2.75 mm.
