Description

This hand-dyed artisanal yarn is no ordinary knitting yarn: the designer behind the knitting patterns Louise Robert Design meticulously created this beautiful collection.

It's by studying the color pallets that represent her life and career over the years that designer Louise Robert was able to imagine all of the variety available in these hand-dyed artisanal yarns.

CHARDON is the french term for many species of thorny plants including Thistle, which is the national emblem of Scotland. I have always been fascinated by everything Celtic. Maybe it's because my great-grandfather was Irish... - Louise

  • Composition: 70% Silk, 30% Seacell
  • Quantity (Weight): 100 grams, 3.5oz
  • Length: 250 meters (275 yds)
  • Sample: 20 - 22 stitches = 10 cm (4 in)
  • Needles: 3-4 mm (US # 3-6)
  • Care: Hand-wash in cold water, dry flat

Seacell is a silky fiber made from seaweed and eucalyptus fibers. Seacell is hypoallergenic and very gentle. Algae for the marine cells are harvested in sparsely populated fjords of Iceland, in places where there is no waste or pollution from ships. Combined with silk, it creates a luxurious and shiny thread.

If you love to knit with Biscotte Yarns, you will fall head over heels with this artisanal, hand-dyed ALGUA MARINA yarn by Louise Robert Design. Whether you are knitting a gorgeous shirt, a shawl or an ultra soft blanket, there's nothing better than an original, artisanal yarn designed by a passionate knitter for knitting enthusiasts.

CAUTION ON WINDING:In order to preserve the delicacy of this fibre, we advise you to wind any skein of Algua Marina with great care.

laine Algua Marina Sous-Bois

cette laine est magnifique ! elle offre des reflets satinés et des couleurs agencées à merveille; j'en fais un foulard car je le veux près de mon visage pour l'éclat qu'elle offre
