NEEDLES AND NOTIONS
- HAT
- Size 4.5 mm / US #7 circular needle with cable length 40 cm / 16 in. or your favorite needles to work small circumferences, using the size needed to get the gauge.

- Size 4.5 mm / US #7 needles OR the size needed to get the gauge.

Skill Level: Intermediate
Skills needed for Hat: 2-color knitting in the round; working and decreasing in the round.
Skills needed for Scarf: I-cord cast-on, I-cord bind-off, 2-color knitting in rows.
GAUGE : 22 sts x 42 rows = 10 cm / 4 in over Hat stitch pattern in the round after blocking or Scarf stitch pattern after blocking.
For best results, get the gauge.
FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
HAT : Approx 51 cm / 20 in circumference and 25.5 cm / 10 in tall after blocking.
SCARF : Approx 224 cm / 88 in long and 21 cm / 8 in wide after blocking.
