Ixora Shawl - Knitting Pattern and Optional Kit

Here is one of our 2025 Advent Calendar patterns: the Ixora Shawl by Camille Bélanger!

This shawl is worked from the tip, increasing two stitches on both sides of every row, on both the right and the wrong sides, until the end. The pattern consists of stockinette & eyelet bands interspersed with Fairisle colorwork bands.

''This shawl is my first creation since learning how to knit in stranded colorwork. I found this project very enjoyable and easy to memorize. It is ideal for learning colorwork knitting, or simply for enjoying this delightful technique if you are more experienced. Adorned with a traditional flower pattern, I chose the name Ixora for this model, a genus of flowering plants in the Rubiaceae family. Happy knitting!'' - Camille

• LOUISE ROBERT COLLECTION - SUPER-SOCK [75% Merino wool, 25% Nylon; 400 m per 100 g] - shown in
  • A - 100g - in delia for the original version and an exclusive color for the second versions
  • B - 50g (you only need 25g but we sell the kit with 50g) - in Nature for both versions.
  • C - 50g (you only need 25g but we sell the kit with 50g) - in Paprika for the original version and Gingerbread for the second version

OR

• BISCOTTE YARNS - BIS-SOCK [85% merino wool sw, 15% nylon; 400 m per 100 g] - (for the 50g since we don't sell 50g of Super Sock)

IN ADDITION TO THIS KIT, YOU WILL NEED THE FOLLOWING MATERIALS

• Circular needles of 4 mm (US 6) - cable lenght of at least 100 cm (40'') - or size needed to obtain gauge
• Stitch markers
• Tapestry needle

GAUGE

23 stitches = 10 cm (4") worked flat in stockinette stitch after blocking.

SIZE - ONE SIZE

Final dimensions after blocking: Length 145 cm (57”) x Height 55 cm (22”) after wet blocking.
