This shawl by Takako Takiguchi lives up to its name with the beautiful color contrast offered. 

This is a triangular shawl worked in three colors with cables and an Andalusian st pattern.

Color A represents Night, Color B represents Day and the lengthwise cabled panel in color C represents the Beauty of Life.

In addition to the knitting pattern, you need the following materials to knit your Day & Night shawl pattern:

YARNS

  • Louise Robert Collection - DK Pure (90% Merino Superwash and 10% Silk, 238 m / 260 yds, 115 g /4 oz), 
    • A – Cobalt: 1 skein
    • B – Gingerbread: 1 skein
    • C - Brooke: 1 skein

NEEDLES AND NOTIONS

Skill Level : Intermediate

Skills Needed : Intarsia, increases, cables.

GAUGE : 18 sts and 20 rows = 10 cm / 4 in worked over Andalusian Stitch after blocking.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS : Length along one side edge: 208 cm / 82 in
Width across cast-on edge including Diamond Cable Panel: 193 cm / 76 in.

NOTES : This shawl is worked top down, using the Intarsia method to change between colors A and B at the center. Color C is used for the lengthwise cabled panel that is worked in two sections along the edge of colors A and B. Increases are worked on every RS row beginning with Row 3.

Châle Day and Night

J'ai adoré tricoter ce châle bien que j'ai eu un peut e difficulté à comprendre le patron lorsque je suis arrivée aux torsades mais j'ai fini par comprendre car j'ai eu l'aide d'une tirconaute durant le cours que je suis donc après cela tout a été pour le mieux et le l'ai terminé et je suis très contente du résultat. Il ne me reste plus qu'à le bloquer.
