Catalina designed a classic crochet pattern in homage to many grandmothers in a bright and contemporary mix of pastel colors.

LEARN HOW TO CROCHET GRANNY SQUARES
The Project: You will crochet a baby blanket made of 25 different granny squares.
The designer: Catalina @bykaterinadesigns, the fantastic designer of the Oasis Mandala and Elements of Nature blankets.
The launch: Join Katia in the Facebook group Crochet-Along Katia to know the exact date of the beginning of the CAL.
The duration: 5 weeks to crochet this blanket at your own pace, share and publish your progress, ask questions if you have any doubts and help the rest of the CAL participants.
The explanations: Each week, Katia will publish in the Facebook group a part of the model that will be accompanied by graphics and step by step videos. Subtitles and written explanations will be available in 6 languages: English, Spanish, French, Dutch, German and Italian.
Supplies: You will need a Katia CAL Nana Kit composed of 14 balls of Katia Cotton-Merino Fine [70% GOTS Organic Cotton - 30% Merino Extrafine Superwash; 25 grs] in 4 pastel colors: 5 balls of ecru color (80), 3 balls of green-white color (84), 3 balls of light lilac color (86) and 3 balls of light pink color (88). You will also need a 4 mm crochet hook (recommended size), a tapestry needle and a pair of scissors.
Final dimensions: the Nana blanket measures approximately 85 x 85 cm including the border. It consists of 25 granny squares distributed in 5 rows and 5 columns. Each granny square measures 15.5 cm x 15.5 cm after blocking.
