GAUGE

25 sts and 26.50 rows = 10 cm (4'') worked in color-work patt using size 4 mm (US 6) needles.

NOTE

Sloped BO To prevent “stair steps” from forming between consecutive BO rows, use the sloped BO method as follows: bind off as usual on the first row to define the initial part of the slope, then work to end of row. Turn and work the next row up to the last st. Turn work so that this unworked st becomes the first st on the RH needle. Sl the first st on the LH needle to the RH needle pwise, then BO the unworked st by lifting it over the sl st and off the needle. Colorwork pattern (20-sts rep) Work according to the chart. Work as many repeats as possible across the stitches for the chosen size, when repeating the charts, work Rows 1-6 once, then always repeat Rows 7 – 26. Pattern notes Read through each section before beginning to knit. Work the last st of each row with both strands to maintain even stranding. Prepare 2 small bobbins of CC2 to work the plackets using intarsia.
