An original pattern by Katrin Schubert for Biscotte Yarns, the Spiral Brioche Hat is a spiral shaped winter hat worked in two-color brioche knitting, inspired by Snail Hat by the wonderful Elizabeth Zimmermann and featuring a self-striping yarn in the foreground and a semi-solid color in the background.

Pattern is suitable for advanced beginners and young knitters. The hat can be knit in multiple sizes (S, M, L) shown sample hat in size M.

Repetitive increases and decreases are worked every 4 rows only, giving the hat its unusual shape. Stripes appear by using the self-striping yarn.

The hat is worked in the round from the bottom up (brim to crown) with two-color brioche.

In addition to this kit, you'll need the following material to knit this project :

• US 5 (3.5mm) circular needle, 16"
• Stitch marker
• Tapestry needle
