In addition to the knitting kit, you will need the following materials to knit the Life In full Bloom shawl:
GAUGE: 18 sts and 24 rows = 4”/10 cm in GARTER STITCH blocked
GAUGE NOTE: While gauge is not crucial for this project, variations in gauge, needle type, yarn choice and blocking will affect yardage used and size of finished shawl. Make your swatch large enough to measure the middle section of your work, and until you feel comfortable with the stitches so you can have a more accurate measurement of your tension.

J’ai reçu ce kit en cadeau il y a quelques mois. Étant donné qu’il s’agissait d’un châle, je n’ai pas fait d’échantillon et j’ai utilisé les aiguilles recommandées. Je tricote de façon très lâche ce qui a fait en sorte que j’ai manqué d’un peu de la laine bis-sock Let it be. Heureusement, j’ai pu acheter un écheveau supplémentaire du même lot que celui de ma boîte cadeau. Comme j’allais manquer également de laine couleur Gold pour les rangs où cette couleur doit se mélanger à la laine couleur limonade, j’ai utilisé la bis-sock Let it be pour faire ces rangs. Cela dit, je ne regrette absolument pas de ne pas avoir fait d’échantillon car le châle est grand et confortable à souhait! Toutefois, prévoir un surplus de laine si vous tricotez de la même façon que moi, (généralement, à titre d’info, pour atteindre l’échantillon demandé, je dois descendre d’une grandeur complète la taille de mes aiguilles…), sinon, assurez-vous de faire votre échantillon. Il s’agit du châle le plus confortable que j’ai jamais tricoté. Une vraie douceur… À un point tel que je prévois en tricoter un 2ième… aussi grand! :-)
