This cardigan is knit from the top down with a drop shoulder construction. This is a great beginner cardigan, even the cables are very easily memorized after a couple of repeats. The inspriration for this cardigan came from wanting an easy to wear everyday cardigan that was also relaxing to knit.
YARN
DK Pure by Louise Robert Design - 238m / 260yds / 90% superwash merino and 10% silk. Sample is knit in colorway Ardoise 5 (5, 6, 6, 7, 7, 8, 8, 8, 9) skeins
NEEDLES
Main Fabric - 4.5mm (US#7) circular needles of at least 75 cm (30”) and preferred needles for small circumference knitting (double pointed needles) or size needed to obtain gauge
Ribbing– 4mm (US#6) circular needles of at least 75 cm (30”) and preferred needles for small circumference knitting
GAUGE: 23 stitches and 29 rows= 10 cm in Stockinette Stitch
SIZES: 34 (36, 38, 40, 42, 44, 46, 48, 50, 52) / Finished bust circumference – 37 (38, 40.5, 42.5, 44.5, 46.5, 48, 50, 53, 55) inches : Meant to be worn with 2-3 inches of positive ease.
