It is rather rare to find a knot in quality yarns but unfortunately it is not impossible. As for our hand-dyed yarns, when we receive the yarn from the spinning mill, it arrives on cones and we wind it prior to dye it. During this process it can happen that a knot escapes our attention. They are so rare that we do not systematically look for them in each skein.
Although the textile industry considers that one to two knots in a ball (100g) of yarn still meets the standards, we understand that it is always unpleasant to fall on a knot. However, it is important to know that it is not uncommon or abnormal to have manage one occasionally.
